Registration / Auditions
Come discover what it means to be a hero. Boy Blunder and the Trio of Terror is a New Star original musical production set in Chicago during the 1970’s. Our hero Stewey finds himself in the crosshairs of three older girls that he and his friends have dubbed “The Trio of Terror”. But as the story unfolds our hero discovers there are some even bigger evil plots at work at LaSalle Elementary School. Will evil prevail? Or will Stewey summon the courage to standup against tyranny? There are lots of fun roles for budding super heroes and mischievous villains alike. Registration and Auditions will be at the Sunrise Community Church 8321 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks. Auditions will be divided over two nights. The first Registration and Audition will be Tuesday, September 9th at 5:30pm and will last until 8:30pm. The second audition will be on September 11th at 5:30pm and will last until 8:30pm. Cast member are expected to stay the entire time on both nights.

Discover the Magic of New Star Children's Theatre
New Star Children’s theatre Company is a children’s theatre based out of Fair Oaks, California.
New Star works with children between the ages of 5-17 years of age. (Though, some shows have been known to include adult performers!)
We are proud to be a program where no experience is necessary to join the New Star “family.” All children who audition for our full scale shows or day camp productions are given a role with lines, solos and dancing.
Adventure Awaits
New Star has completed another exciting adventure, with a four show run of Peter Pan A New Musical! The two casts both were outstanding and the audiences raved about how well they all performed. Although exhausted at the end, it was well worth it for cast and crew alike!

New Star Children’s Theatre believes every child is a star. We celebrate each child’s achievements and growth. Every child who auditions is accepted and will receive a part with lines, there are no chorus roles in our plays. The majority of our plays and songs are New Star originals written by our own staff, including several plays written by one of our alumni. This enables us to adapt our scripts to each cast and ensure everyone has a part suited to their abilities. When casting we try to give each cast member a role that will challenge their abilities and encourage them to grow as performers and experience a sense of achievement after every performance. Our cast members are like family and learn to support and encourage one another to excel.
